COM345

I took COM345: Photojournalism in the Fall of 2007. In this class we took photos of various things, such as new events, sports events, and more. Three of my best assignments are shown here with larger photos available for viewing by clicking on the photo.

October 2007 // Capturing Emotion

This was one of the first assignments that we had in class and the goal was to capture emotion. I went to the Morton Pumpkin Festival Parade and took photos of people there for the assignment. I found that kids were the best subjects because they are very expressive, so most of my best shots were of children.

October 2007 // News Event

For this assignment we had to cover a news worthy event. I chose to use Oktoberfest for it and took photos of the bands playing, people dancing, and the log sawing contest.

November 2007 // Sports

This was my favorite assignment from this class even though I don't really like sports all that much simply because there was constant action to photograph. I went to a soccer game taking place at a Bradley tournament and had quite a few good pictures that came out.
