Graduation Announcements
These postcard graduation announcements were made to send out to family and friends announcing my graduation this coming May. I wanted them to be something bright and fun rather than the standard announcement. I used various images related to my major (such as the computers) and to Bradley University (the statue of Lydia Moss Bradley and others) to create this layered collage. Pennant Fund Web Site
This website was created for Pennant Hedge Fund while I was working at The Wall Street Transcript. I designed and hand coded the site to tell potential investors more about the hedge fund. Due to various laws, hedge funds cannot advertise to the public, therefore, access past the front page of the site is limited to potential investors.
Absnowlute Mountain Resort Web Site
This website was created for a ficticious ski and snowboarding resort called Absnowlute. It was made in Drupal and was fully themed by myself using the Zen Garden template to start out. To view the full website, click on the still below.
MHAIV Brochure
This brochure was created for the Mental Health Association of Illinois Valley for their program Youth Mental Health Matters. The project was one of our assignments for Editorial Design class for an actual client. I used only three basic colors for the piece due to the fact that they had a limited budget for printing. I decided to stick to an illustrated look for the brochure to cater to the young audience. For more images, click on the image below to view more.
Apocalyptica Poster
This poster was made while I was trying to brush up on my Adobe Illustrator skills over the summer before school started again. I decided to make a fake promotional concert poster for the band Apocalyptica, which is a Finnish cello-based rock band that began as three classically trained cellists who played covers of Metallica songs. I wanted the poster to reflect the dark but beautiful sound of their music so I chose to use the colors black and purple. I added a concrete texture in the background to give it a look kind of like crushed velvet. I used a font similar to their band font and then added a glow to it to make it "pop". The cello and the roses around it were found on sxc.hu Stock Photos and then cut out in Photoshop and assembled and altered in Illustrator. To see the full poster, click on the image.
ACBU Official Web Site
This was the website redesign for Bradley's Activities Council for Fall 2008 to promote on-campus entertainment. The navigation showing the different areas of the website sticking out of the red, circular "ACBU" logo was made in Adobe Flash. The rest of the website was made using standards compliant HTML and CSS, and Abode Photoshop was used for photo editing and resizing. Click on the image below to view the website.
Paramodal Technologies Web Site
This was made in my first Web Design class for a ficticious company called Paramodal Technologies. The assignment was to come up with products for transportation that do not yet exist. I chose to keep mine as realistic as possible and used solar cars for my products. The site was built using standards compliant CSS, HTML, and JavaScript forms.
